I picked ice cream at Harrods...obviously...

Harrods is a completely fabulous and mystifying place - it makes you wonder what sort of strange dream you've stepped into when you're taking the Egyptian Escalators up to the treasures above.  The store is absolutely enormous and the prices induce shock & awe.  There are loads of gourmet restaurants in Harrods, but the Ice Cream Parlour caught my eye, or rather, the ice cream sundaes did when we wanted to stop for a snack.

It was soooo hard to pick, they all sounded amazing, but at an average price of 15£ we were definitely going to share.  We picked the Banoffee Sundae: vanilla, banana & caramel ice cream in a waffel bowl with fresh bananas and a mountain of whipped cream with toffee sauce.  Ah, it was heavenly.  I could bathe in that toffee sauce and the ice cream was delicious.  Was it worth the money?  probably.

We also spent some time at Madame Tussaud's (no, I didn't actually meet Duchess Catherine - that would have been ah-maaaz-ing)  It was cheesy, but we had fun snapping some pictures with our new wax friends.

oh yeah, I saw Harry Potter

The wax museum is a bit pricey.  If you just show up it's 30£ at the door, but if you pre-book online at least one day ahead it was 22.50£ (a decent discount).
