wild earth bakery & cafe

Last weekend I met a friend for coffee at Wild Earth Bakery & Cafe.  I was so glad she suggested that we meet there, because it's one of those places that I drive by on an almost daily basis, and always think "I should go there".

such a cozy, happy atmosphere

Wild Earth prides themselves on using only fair-trade coffee, so I decided to try a latte.  It hit the spot, and looked pretty too.

The bakery also makes all of their treats from scratch.  It was so difficult to decide what to order!  There were lots of great squares & cakes, as well as soups and sandwiches.  I choose a ham & cheese croissant.  It was fantastic, with a crispy outside and soft buttery inside filled with sliced ham and swiss cheese.  yumm.

Before heading out I picked up a fresh baguette and a gluten-free biscotti for my mom.  I haven't heard anything about the biscotti, but the baguette was great with some soup we had last week.  The crust was nice and crisp with a soft, tasty inside.  Now that I've been to Wild Earth, I'm a little sad that I haven't been frequenting the bakery for the last several years!  Oh well, now that I know about it, I'll definitely be back.
